I use charts first and foremost and trade daily/short term. The reason I become interested in one's like RFF is because I roll my profits over into Co's like this - even then I check the charts and will trade it if necessary.

My FA is limited on purpose to checking for a possible cap. raising in the spec. market before entering a trade. In the blue chip area I just keep an eye on things with less urgency. Over the years I've posted a lot about money management and trading and the psychology behind it.

I have been highly successful by following the market participants and their sentiment towards any stock because they generate the chart, I don't need to repeat their analysis using FA because they tell me what they think, they generate the charts.

I don't think it's ever too late to start and one things for sure I don't get them all right either.

The charting and chat thread here on HC run by Jako is very good but slowing down a little. There's a wealth of free info. there.

To get back to RFF, yes, dividends are a two edged sword but what I've done with this one is take the shares in lieu as I don't trade it heavily and am very happy to accumulate this one in particular.
