Well we do have variables.

You can see on this chart how the temp peaked very high in 1998 I think. Anyone who claims we are out of an uptrend because we cool from there in such a very short period I dismiss as wacko to be honest. If that is the best argument to say we should ignore global warming then I doubt they have much amunition.
