Could someone give me some clear reasons for all the antagonism towards consolidation? - and not just 'stock X underwent a consolidation and it immediately got sold down and now the company has gone under' because I've seen occasions when consolidation has been a good thing for the share price of a company.

If a new board doesn't do something positive for this company and get things moving then this a dead duck and consolidation will have nothing to do with it. Consolidation could only affect the market cap right? (ie if it resulted in a sell off or even an increase in sp) It wouldn't affect how much money the company has available for projects would it? what happens with options by the way? so many questions.
