Some technical help please.
How can "light hydrocarbons"be generated in the thick coal seam under discussion
I understand that it can migrate upwards from underlying source rocks , but if gas has originated in the coal seam itself isn't it methane, co2, etc., or anything but hydrocarbon.
My technical knowledge is limited.
