    frustrating, yes...

    Surprising, no....

    If you look at a 10 yr gold chart on July 06 gold bounced off resistance much like gold has done recently (bouncing off $850 aprox.) Later that year in 06 the support was retested. I wouldnt be surprised to see Gold's support at 850 retested.
