    David has a good point.

    Injecting equity into a business by means of a SPP while at the same time maintining high dividends and boasting dividend growth doesn't make sense.
    It is an obvious play to keep shareholders happy and is poor business management. Why pay high dividends and then ask for money back?

    BEN have done this several times over the years. The management at BEN don't make great decisions. They really stuffed up the BOQ merger proposal and then stuffed up even more with the BoA merger. I sold all my holdings at $17 when they rejected the merger with BOQ. One of the best trading decisions I made.

    Don't place too much faith in this mob's management. They are tapping a market that is fast running dry. A company for the nostalgic grannies ....
