Yeah, I am conflicted as to whether to buy at these levels and get the dividend, but I suspect like you with market sentiment poor the likely ex dividend SP is likely to be much lower that actual dividend and franking credit combined. Therefore SP likely to be well sub $29 after ex date next week. Watch and wait.
However, if CIM and market fall heavily again over the next few days, I might be tempted to dive in
