I think it could go that way too.
Looking at PLS HC they are happy to have CATYL on board but can see their shareprice suffer in the short term.
Reaching profitability is the other factor.
So their share movement is due to more shares on issue than the very positive signal of having the biggest ev battery maker coming knocking at their door saying we will buy all your extra spod.
I suppose CATL just want to ship it to China and store it then wait for the demand to happen in a year or 2.
