I called by the plant today for a look and with the intention of getting an update on progress considering timelines appear to be slipping again but unfortunately there was nobody present. I seriously hope we are not going down the in "APG time" path again. We deserve to be kept updated in a professional manner if timelines are not going to be kept considering we were recently told things were on track for August commissioning.
Last week there was one work vehicle on site the day I went by but nothing large scale going on.
To my untrained eye there has definitely been further progress made to the upper and lower parts of the plenum and FB roaster but is still incomplete. A number of the parts previously delivered have been used but the majority remain sitting on site ready for installation which may be part of the longer term plan post commissioning? One thing that took my eye was the amount of red dust all over and around the mill scale handling section of the plant, conveyer belts and ground underneath. That has definitely had a run at some stage recently but not with the usual grey mill scale.
