Trump will be desperate to conclude a deal before his elections.
One theory is that he was pushing this back to just before elections for maximum voting effect.
Trump threatened that if he won the elections without a trade deal he will up the ante on China. I think he shot himself in the foot there, that's pretty much telling people its gonna get get worse if they elect him under no deal conditions? lol.
I think China has the upper hand, let trump accept China's version of a compromised deal to boost election chances, or wait for the worn out Americans to vote him out in fear of further escalations.
October will be very interesting indeed.
