Lynas won't "end the Japanese contracts to service America first".
Why would they?? They have a great, supportive and ongoing business relationship with Japanese industry.
The US has had plenty of chances to build that sort of relationship too but weren't interested, any more than they supported domestic production. So they'll need to get in line and wait till new capacity is built.
If they want to support the fast tracking of that then great, but it won't be particularly cheap.
