I used to fly on FinAir and Japan Airlines a lot to europe and back as they were the last to ban smoking on their routes. Finair left the bar at the rear open all night, unattended and in Fist Class they brought you always a full bottle. And they let you keep the half or quarter finished 3/4 liter bottle to take away with you. Japan Airlines has a little basket full of the small sized bottles of all kinds of alcohol and other goodies with a sign handwritten by the hostess "Help Yourself". Used to fly Japan Air Syd - Osaka and the Finair to either Helsinki or Paris. Those were the days.. half-full planes, good service.. the works. :)
