The ALP had by far the best policies but they failed to sell them and were undermined by Palmer's $50 million anti-Labor election spendathon. Not that every policy was the best but all were certainly better than anything the LNP might have had hidden away. But that's life and IMO the ALP dodged a bullet by losing anyway as now Morrison will have to deal with the imminent recession his government helped to create.
