I’ve heard of it (Tallow) and for some reason, that I cannot explain or remember but possibly have heard a tv expert explanation that it is a very nice wood to work with?

Is it easy to work or is it like Tuart (local gum tree in my area) wood, hard to cut when green and an absolute pig to split when dry?

The stand up, 3 holer pot plant holder is Tuart (pic of basket I made up after work this mhttps://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/1722/1722327-fc7468592351c358758fccc1da319d3b.jpg

    orning.
It splits and splinters when worked and produces heaps of ash when burnt.
