“Lot of leverage in oppies, but most expire worthless for wotever reason.”
Absolutely correct “bevter”. I have been smashed by options in the past and am well aware of the potential losses. Only recently I pigged-out on options in an ASX listed cannabis company. I think at one stage I was the 4th largest options holder. During the initial period of accumulation, all was going to plan. The global market was solid and company management were ‘making deals’. The 2+ year prior to expiry date, made this look like a ‘no-brainer’.
However, as time dragged on, the deals done turned to stories with no solid return or increase in share price. It became apparent to me that the company was being used as a feeding trough for management. Sensing a possible failure to meet the exercise price, over the 6 months prior to expiry date, I managed to sell off all my options. The last 100,000 were sold for 0.001c. Unfortunately, many were left holding these worthless ‘shit tickets’ at the expiry date.
So yes, trading options is not for the inexperienced, unaware or non-market savvy. It is about the most extreme form of trade gambling I can think of!
If I have lured some unsuspecting novice trader into the belief that trading options is a great way to make money, minus a significant amount of risk, then I apologise.
Many will read the aforementioned and liken it to this company –so be it. From my perspective I am ‘punting’ on the price of silver to be finally set free by criminal elite at JPMorgan. My assumption (bet), is that the price of SVL will be dragged along for the ride and with it SVLOB, also.
For some who need to be brought up to speed on the global situation with the pricing of silver, I have attached this link to Ted Butler’s report that was posted today. I recognise Ted as the foremost authority on the pricing mechanism of silver.
I have been a paid subscriber for over 9 years now and find his commentary most factual and enlightening. I would rate his commentary as essential reading for anyone trading silver or gold futures or equities.
