You have seen this reel repeatedly, don't you all see the pattern, the shorts come in knock the price down before positive news and the professional investors all buy cheap wait for the good news and sell on the uplift. I have seen this manipulation (and that is what it is manipulation), over and over again and meanwhile the poor retail investors have to put up with a stock price fully 25% below fair value. It used to happen to FMG over and over and over. The Chinese would manipulate the iron ore price, the shorts would put out smoke about large inventories, mills closing, structural changes, you name it and down would go FMG 's price and then they would put out information about tightening supply or infrastructure stimulus you name it and up it would go.
Anything to do with China the shorts feel they can rinse and repeat because of one factor -no transparency. They are doing the same with A2, setting abnormally low profit growth or earnings growth, pushing the share price down, buying and then collecting on the companies updates. The trouble is we are always $3 behind the eight ball. The company needs to understand this is what is happening and provide much more regular data and reports on sales rates and composition than it currently does. It should also provide revenue guidance with a range. The reason we are in this fix is because its easy to set low revenue and earnings targets, depress the share price then set targets too high to achieve, and short the stock coming into announcement days. If A2 provided revenue and earnings ranges this would stop this.
