Good points - but you you seem to fail to understand - today's AFL has forced players to play differently. and for that reason its only cowards that do the things that greene does and then cry's like a baby to the MRO and says he wasn't doing anything - how much did they fine the little coward for nothing? he clearly should have got weeks as well.
As far as retaliation from Bonts team mates - that's a fine line. Did you see last night game? you could almost argue the point the lions over reaction at the start of the game that cost them 2/3 goals which some could say cost them a final in such a tight contest.
Bottom line is you just can't compare how footy was played when we were young compared to now. I'm assuming you are roughly my vintage
