I realise the following is obvious to many holders but I just thought I would put my opinions in print.
i sense that recent gains are only partly attributable to the rise in oil price. Daily turnover volumes have been well above average since the beginning of August, the price was rising and the political landscape in PNG is the factor at play in the renewed interest. Accumulation is likely associated with expectation of a resolution to the PDL10 suspension as well as third party access to the proposed pipeline.
Given oil production has been consistent and the balance sheet is in good shape now, any positive news from PNG will imo give us a rerate to the high teens at least. It would not be sensible to be a seller atm unless you have to. Obviously, the other part of the puzzle related to PDL10 is the prospect of a sale by Repsol of its interests. I'm patient and have been in this investment for many years. I just hope my patience is rewarded over the next 2-6 months.
regards
