i disagree. you are assuming all these cmbs are us related. i think you will find some of these will be aust backed and european backed. as for additional equity, hasn't nab being pursuing some acquisition opportunities. that sort of behaviour is not one which is short of cash. remember this is a company with earnings over 3bn a year. in addition to this, there dividends are underwriten taking away the pressure of cash flow requirements to pay for these.
sure the dividends may come off, but then again does anyone really think a yield over 10% excl franking credits is likely. im sure the dividend will come off, the price will go up slightly and the yield will return to around the same level as there bond rates.
