I'm in 100% agreement with you on that last one.
Some property investment spruikers are still saying the housing market is booming (E.g. ads on the radio in Perth, urge us to invest in Melbourne's booming market). I spoke to a Perth property valuer earlier in the week. He says prices in the outer mortgage belt suburbs are down 40% since January. Even in the face of the facts, people still think their suburb won't be going down ...
Unfortunately a property price collapse is bad for the stock market, because many speculators finance their share investments through lines of credit.
