As Perth's school students prepare to take pat in today's climate strike a survey by ReacOut Australia and Student Edge reveals 17% of 14 to 23 year old students are being kept awake at night because they worry about the climate.
About 80% of the 1500 students surveyed said they were "somewhat" or "very anxious " about climate change, a condition known as" eco-anxiety"
Children as young as 10 are receiving psychological help over their climate change fears.
Leading Australian adolescent psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg said he saw children every week who were afraid about the end of the world.
