There is a 'way' of dealing with 'being scared' which I employ myself.
it goes something like this:
1. being scared is a mental state which involves a lot of anticipation.
2. 'anticipation' is time lost to better pursuits like being happy, laughing, drinking having fun etc.
3. The 'scary' bit is going to happen anyway (and it can be anything from 'going to the dentist' 'doing an exam' - 'losing one's virginity' (haha) - to 'being ill' and 'actually dying'
so: there is nothing one can change about that.
4. what I can change is wasting time 'being scared about what will happen' at an undefined place at an undefined time some time in the future.
SO;
cut down on the 'being scared' bit and fill it in with something beautiful and meaningful.
