I would advise you to review the rampers, and to see if what they posted on, beit factual or speculation.
Then take note of the rampers who speculated and high fived each other, and also take note of any posters who seemed in hindsight, realistic.
Then to the realistic, perhaps cauitionary posters, add them to your favourites, and look to patterns.
It's human to get carried away occasionally, in error, but if you can pattern a serial ramper, then just treat them with great caution.
Your other approach, may be to watch for these serial rampers, and buy when they first start their campagnes, and then sell no later than a couple of weeks later into whatever rally they may have instigated.
For mine, i have a list of favourites, who in most part, are factual, and realistic.
After a while, you'll be able to tell the difference.
Hotcopper, IMO, is a great forum to share opinion, but it is also laced with people with their own short term agendas.
There are half a dozen stocks or so, that i own today, after doing my own research, that i only came to awareness of through this forum.
It's a great tool, but be careful.
cheers
