Not true.....if you are selling part of your holdings at the near highs and rebuying at near lows you are either increasing your holding at no cost, or, taking some profit and retaining some free carry or.... averaging down on the remaining shares by taking the cash which then comes off your original purchase price. All relative to the individual numbers involved.
