One small detail of the report is quite interesting: "The lithium carbonate produced from the pilot plant is planned to be used to provide samples for testing by prospective customers."
we all know that the first plant is supposed to be a pure hydroxide plant. At least that is what has been stated. So the question here: who are potential customers for the carbonate and is it supposed to be a fall back solution if LOH-Max doesn't work at scale as planned? Or, are the customer testings relevant for the scoping study of the full scale hybrid l-max loh-max plant?
will be interesting to find out in the next months.
