What a pile of garbage. The ASX needs to enforce the rules to protect the integrity of the exchange. Otherwise they will become a breeding ground for this type of behavior - whether SAS managament were deceitful or just incompetent doesn't matter, how many foreign shell companies will be looking at this thinking 'how easy is that?'
It's one thing doing your research and investing wisely - and completely another thing to buy based on false or misleading information in a company announcement. What would you say to anyone who bought shares after the announcement the Diamonds were generating revenue (which they weren't and never did)? Toughen up should have known?
