I thought so too. Buddy Ohm was just a specialized raspberry pi, and Buddy Cloud is just an open source server hosted on Microsoft Azure. It's pretty impressive how they were able to raise a lot of capital and hit $200m+ valuation on such a simple engineering. Many people must have taken the bait from internet posts and brokers' recommendations. Lesson for newbies: Don't listen to what people said in this forum. They likely have an agenda. Don't listen to me either. Do your own research before you put in your money.
