Evraz took control of Delong in Feb and Delong subsequently withdrew. A journo recently implied Ding withdrew because of FIRB. Those that followed the stock since Feb know that is not true. Another side spin by Evraz.
Evraz probably recommended MCC and now pocket the $38m commission. Probably bought those options and then converted them to make sure the deal went through. May be made another $60m if they had sold those converted options.
Delong had 12m shares stuck at 40+ cents. The play would have allowed Delong to dumped those shares at 100% profit.
If you add up all the money Evraz made, it probably got the resource for next to nothing. Evraz now owns 75% of the resource so it needs to pay $300m. Since it got it for next to nothing, who paid the $300m?
