So the funds are selling down resource stocks. They think the commodities boom is over. Is it? So much of our news is US sourced. So the US economy has stopped growing? That can happen when half is going down the toilet and the other half is going gangbusters. Thats what Im hearing. One of my friends visits the midwest a lot-he sells gems and jewellery. He reports that they are going very well. Agriculture is booming while a lot of the oil men have so much money coming in they dont know how to spend it.
Its like saying I dont drink any more, but then , I dont drink any less, either. Just now the US is like that.
China? Slowing growth? Well it would have to. You cant go on expanding geometrically forever. 10% on 10 trillion is one trillion extra per annum. 12% on 1 trillion is 120 billion extra. (dollars) Get it? The maths I mean. Its basic economics. The s curve of economic development growth rates.
Global purchasing power and population are growing and mineral resources are getting harder to find. Especially in locations that dont smell like an open sewer politically. The NT isnt paradise, with loopy red-greenies and the local drunks of all colours, but compared to the Congo ,its heaven.
The shorters are playing games, but these arent CFD players, the margins are too high.
But I look at a lot of miners, mainly smaller ones, Im seeing little double bottoms all over the place. Suggest anything?
Dont get thrown off this bronco. Most of the boxes are ticked.
