Just in case some here may not fully appreciate the path ahead: Huge potential of proofing an absolute monster resource, BUT, and remember there are always provisos, it will be a long path until somebody actually generates cash, and thus, hopefully, real profits from this resource. This means all types of risks, and a potentially long way ahead. Just saying...., e.g.:

• Chris mentioned a ball park figure of $15m to get the drilling done he thinks is needed. Obviously, all sorts of deals may be struck to finance this. Just remember that some serious money will need to be spent until we have a 2.5, 5, or more MOZ JORC resource!
• Nova will certainly, at this stage, want to sell this as a resource when the price is right (Avi made it clear he is not interested in just a few mill, he wants this to be a serious money spinner), as opposed to becoming a miner
• It took Fort Knox 10 years to become an operating mine (thanks for posting the link @wombat777)
• It cost them $500m to develop the mine.
• Obviously if we do just heap leaching, that will be easier. Still, serious capital will be required (by others, most likely), and time.
• Thought I'd just mention too that gold mining and processing is very nasty business. Some pretty radical chemicals are used, especially cyanide, requiring careful - speak lengthy and expensive environmental approvals. Rightly so, might I add. This is pristine and beautiful country. I've been there. We don't want to mess it up irreversibly.

Just a few thoughts to add to your investment thesis. Make sure you are comfortable with all aspects. Don't just get sucked in by hype. That's a recipe for disaster!

PS: If it was that easy to spot a no brainer, we'd all be filthy rich - and would probably do better things with our time on a Sun afternoon than post on hc!
