I don't like to flame but please get some basic facts straight before you shoot your mouth off. The Halabja genocide happened in March 1988. Obama was a 27 year old studying ad Harvard law school at the time.

At one point in time the US falsely accused Iran of the massacre knowing that Saddam was resonsible. In any case, the US established a no fly zone over Northern Iraq and over time the Kurds established their own autonomous administration there.

Obama completely blundered the Kurdish question during the ISIS war thus pushing many Kurds towards their ally of last resort ..... Iran.

The arrival of Trump at the White House only made things worse.

The attack was part of the Al-Anfal Campaign in northern Iraq, as well as part of the Iraqi attempt to repel the Iranian Operation Zafar 7. It took place 48 hours after the fall of the town to the Iranian Army. A United Nations (UN) medical investigation concluded that mustard gas was used in the attack, along with unidentified nerve agents.^[2]
