Hi Guys i am new to this platform but am aware of Cokal's Indonesian operations especially since Aahana's involvement started. So i thought some updates would be helpful , I must highlight that the new management has been working very hard from the last 6months to clean up the mess that old guys in Indonesia left behind. Now Cokal Indonesia has a totally new team of experienced personnel incl mining engineers , geologists etc(all old guys are fired) , a lot of progress is being made on the regulatory submissions (which was all messed up), mining in Indonesia like in any other country is subject to a lot of compliance relating to regional, federal government departments including management of social issues in the area of operations. Cokal's new team is working very closely on all the above and lot of progress is being made.
Some trusted sources informed me that they have also been working on an alternate road route from Pit 3 BBM which is the coking coal pit to enable regular transport of cargo to a jetty around 100kms away which has good draft, survey and mapping is ongoing which may be followed by land acquisition. I think this is all setting a base for a successful & uninterrupted operations going forward.
