There are more good people around than there are bad. Its just with all this social media, phones etc the bad people are making a lot more noise than the good ones. As far as school goes I dont think it has been much different and again we all hear about every transgression these days via social media so it sounds like there is a lot more arsholes around than their use to be.
As far as politicians are concerned I think what we are seeing now is the real power behind the politicians, the organsisations supplying the money are now coming out in the open more and more and they are becoming much more visible than ever. Then there are the criminal cartels that are being seen in the political circles, politicians taking money off developers, Chinese and other foreign groups.
The US imo is ground zero for a significant amount of all this corruption. Look at how many Wall st banks have been caught in outright criminal manipulation of all markets. These banks are fined a lot less than they make in their criminal activities and go straight back to doing what they were doing knowing full well they can just pay a fine and be on their way. IMO what we are seeing in the US is two competing gangs fighting it out for power and control and they will stop at nothing and that goes for both sides. In Australia we now have federal police raiding maedia offices, seizing computers and documents all in an effort to stop a story going to air that would involve the government.
There seems to be a war going on between competing political gangs all over the world and these gangs are slugging it out.
