I think it's really important to read every word.

Shares shall be placed into an immediate trading halt

"pending an 'update" to the IMEC collaboration".

So what we are getting after the trading halt is an "update", not a takeover by anyone, not a CR but an update to the imec collaboration.

So go back and read what 4DS and imec are collaborating on.

4DS will collaborate with imec to develop:
1. production compatible process for the 4DS Interface Switching ReRAM technology; and ( most likely now done but not 100% sure)
2. 4DS will demonstrate this production -compatible process on imecs megabit test chip. (maybe in this announcement, but doubt it)

- production Back End of Line (BEOL) process on imecs process CMOS megabit memory vehicle processed on 300mm wafers.

So, the update is about those two things.

Some possible scenarios:

- iterations are complete, now onto BEOL megabit test chip, testing and analysis to be complete in the next quarter; or
- 4DS and imec are extending the imec collaboration to allow another iteration(s) and have extended the agreement by xxx; and/or
- another iteration required and will be the final one before BEOL testing, another 2 quarters of work; or the best case
- testing was complete, mounted onto megabit test vehicle and testing is now complete and 4DS and imec are now analysing the results which will be reported in the next qtr, game over.

Certainly can't be anything about WD or any other suitor because they wouldn't have said "update to the imec collaboration.

What exactly is now subject to lots of speculation until release or the announcement or Thursday morning whichever is earlier.
