"What then, of Baha'u'llah's consciousness raising teachings, do you think "does not correspond with reality"? That you compare a vision for humanity that is actually observable and embodied by a global Baha'i community with a Second Coming that is so far fetched that it has created an entire movement away from God and spirituality, is rather bizarre......"
Hi Kam,
The point I was making is that in regard to wider Humanity, what may be possible for the minuscule Baha'i examples is simply not reality for wider Humanity. As far as we know, it never has been and there is no reason to believe it ever will.
The analogy with the Second Coming remains quite valid as it is based only on the fact that each is very, very, very unlikely to occur. Nothing intended to indicate any sort of merit.
Likewise for the claim that all the major religions will somehow see and agree to their commonality of origin and purpose.
A relative few may but the overwhelming majority won't because that's not "their" religions.
The point being that what is possible for small communities of like minded people is not transferable to Humanity as a whole anymore than the fact you can pluck a couple of horses from the herd and adapt and train them to behave in an unnatural (relatively speaking) way but that will not work with all the herds no matter how much you wish it.
I accept that this unfortunate "reality" is unpalatable to you especially because it is regarded as a revelation from your prophet.
I also wish it wasn't the case. Who knows what approach would have been taken if he were emerging onto the stage today.
In the meantime this should not have any real negative influence on the current Baha'i initiatives.
