My neighbors across the road have been sitting on their contracts for 3 years (includes 2 extensions). They signed up for $1.4M. Seems the council has given approval for the development to proceed and suddenly I have a contract for $1.7M. In 2 years time we will have sewage and town water and probably my place will be worth in excess of $2M. But it seems to me when I sign a contract for $2M I will still be signing a put and call contract which will drag on for 2 years!! These put and call contracts are the only ones these developers are prepared to offer. Would love to get a 30 day REIQ contract but the developers insist on put and call.
