Actually in our case, I think being in the ASX200 has been a disaster. It is the investment by super funds and the like that has made the huge volume of shares for lending to shorters possible. When we are out of it they will have to relinquish their shares which will finally let the shorters buy out of the hole they have dug themselves into, and cut off the supply of more shares for shorting.
I think the sooner we are out of it the better. It's great when sentiment is running high but a disaster when it isn't because the funds have to make revenue and if the shares aren't going up or aren't paying dividends then the only option for them is to lend them and collect the lending fees.
