Yes I planted my garlic a month late, will make a point of getting some local grown garlic and get it in earlier.
Yes been putting effort into improving the soil and while looking good I think it needs time for the organic matter to fully incorporate.
I also mess up my tomatoes by not putting in stakes a training them up from the early stages
Weeds are an issue, in due course I will make up barrier of some sort to let the chooks at them and keep the chooks out of crops. But it's a blessing that the soil is rather loose so weeds come out easy.
Also need to devise a composting systemBlue Berry is "Sunshine Blue" suited to warmer areas. Note I have a limestone wall but apart from that I don't have limestone in the soil
