Many sins could be cured by a very small financial penalty per trade like 1 or 2c. AKA a Tobin or Robin Hood Tax. Alternatively, for people who hold longer term, whatever machinations the markets pull, they have to be unravelled to reveal true value eventually. You just have to hope they don't damage the financing or operating performance of the company in the interim.
