Well Tesla started high end but they're now moving towards lower price points. The new Tesla 3s are available in the high $60K region, $70Ks with some options. The ICE options around that price don't compare well so yes a Tesla 3 will probably be my next car. Purely on value, the environment is a bonus.
But yeah the electric options at lower price points are pretty average, that's because they come from legacy ICE manufacturers. But 3 years from now I'd say unless the legacy makers lift their electric game on that front they're toast, the number of new ICE models will get shredded whatever happens.
