only reason i say 12 months is that i believe 4ds should keep development going in the background as a contingency plan. PLan A is to sell to the highest bidder, Plan B should include a development path to having a completed product and generating revenue, in the off chance the highest bidder isnt what JD was expecting.
Any money spent further developing the tech is money well spent. further derisks it, and the better performance they can demonstrate the higher the asking price.
