if they go for 12 months then they're going for Gigabyte. And this would also assume WD et al. not satisfied with 1Mb performance - which would suck because the current plan is to show the potential at Mb levels.
this should be sufficient enough to make a decision to acquire the IP and drive it to Gb levels internally after acquisition.
Or worse, if they're going for 12 months it could mean we have all been mislead in terms of just how good the performance currently is. And they need a further 12 months to improve the recipe.
