when I was in ICG, and things were failing, I kept called the Doc and he was always convincing me that he was buying more and that all was good, he never told me when the Germans bailed and sold all their shares, he always went on about positives. Great salesman. When I first met him at an agm in Perth he was very convincing about icg and the potential here. There was another guy here on the forum he is Timmo and he works in the industry (mining etc) and he was sold completely and at one stage bragged to have 90% of portfoilio in ICG and 12mil shares. (this was back when the shares were upwards of 2c each) Here on the forum he was a hero, he does not post on ICG lately. I also trusted he's judgement as he is way more knowledgeable than me. So it reinforced my belief. Then came the emails predicting 30c a share plus, the being part of a big shareholder(suckers) group etc etc and we all as a group pumped this company up.
I had 70% of my portfolio in this piece of crap. I don't think the doc is malicious but he has no business sense in my opinion so now there are 2 geologists running a company that needs a business person as ceo.
I keep following the ICG forum as I have lots of mixed feelings here, and feel sorry for shareholders as this was one of the friendliest forums I ever came across on HC, such a great bunch of people and all getting crucified.
