why would somebody sell me one share at 3 cents?

    Yesterday I placed an order to buy 100,000 CDL at 3.1 cents.

    Somebody sold me one share, leaving me 99,999 to get.

    This is not the first time this sort of nonsense has happened to me (with NRL, not CDL - and no, I'm not paranoid, it did happen).

    Why would somebody pay brokerage to play this game?
