"I've posted why those statements are ridiculous. Feel free to challenge me on those."
What a load of crap!!! You just said that, because they were in any way associated with the Heartland Institute, they had no credibility. These guys are way above you intellectually, scholastically and topically, it's just they aren't similarly embracing your religion, and are refuting the coming apocalypse, which is just scaring the children.
If you want the ice age thing explained simply, go to your fridge. In the freezer section, which is the coldest part, you'll have ice, then the fridge section, there should be no ice, as that is less cool. Now, where you are standing outside the fridge, it is less cool again.
Could you elaborate as to whether your religion is trying to save mankind or the planet itself? Let's have a bet on the side: the dinosaurs lived approximately 180 million years, I'll bet you a $2 scratchy that the human being will not live as long.
It might be worth doing some more reading, maybe https://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/global_warming.html ......excerpt below
"Prominent climatologists like Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT and Dr. Patrick Michaels of the University of Virginia contend that we would do well to carefully consider what the greater body of scientific evidence has to say on the matter of global warming before taking drastic measures. Their concerns are shared by other scientists who are troubled that the issue of global warming seems driven more by politics than by sound science.
Geologic history clearly shows that Earth's climate is dynamic and ever-changing. While carbon dioxide as a constituent of Earth's atmosphere has been increasing since the industrial revolution, it has been similarly increasing since the earth started warming 18,000 years ago. Clearly, there are natural forces at work."
