What a strange coincidence, as that is exactly what I was thinking about you.
"So what if it was hotter or wetter a million years ago ? Were there 7 billion humans on the planet then ?"
Okay, so you are worried about the humans again, not the planet. The Earth has been teeming with life a long time before man, and you'll notice some of the largest land animals were able to grow during periods of higher temperature and co2. Would you not realise, that we don't want to go back into the mini ice age of a couple of hundred years ago, and continue warming where we'll be able to adequately cater, food-wise, for this 7 billion, which happens to be growing......or should we have a cull?
The '800 or 900 in the room' just showed that those levels don't bring fire and brimstone. He used a meter, although, there are some from a certain faith who can see the co2, which could save the expenditure on this device.......not sure whether the levels can be accurately gauged using this method though.
The Earth is greening, even NASA recognises this, which is not unhealthy, and will continue doing so unless co2 levels stagnate or start dropping. Wouldn't it be better to use any rise in co2, to start planting trees/plants/bushes instead of windmills? Remember, there are laws surrounding the growing of certain plants, although, there is an exemption for personal use.........you'd have to look it up.
