thanks for that and I think you have made similar recommendations before and thankyou for bothering!!! - but I am going to give Optus just one more go, as I have two mobile phones going with them for a special price and until my grand daughter who is in Sydney, can afford her phone (she is studying theatre arts, but also works) I'll struggle with them for a bit longer.

I was with Iinet for many years and they let me down badly when they were taken over by TPG and introduced nbn over near where you live - no answers to phonecalls, - I was without a service for almost a month just before Christmas 2016 - had a sick child in England etc. - had letterheads printed with their number etc. - now the letterhead is on my computer and it's easy to change.

My problems could be related to where I live as, for example in front of my property the ground is just soil with gravel over it - there is a buried phone box (the connector thingy) (Telstra-owned) which gets flooded after a major downpour, but my stuff isn't connected to that - search me how my cable finds its way to the 'node' - need to get more tech-savvy!!

I am glad you still enjoy getting your house converted to a 'home' and I hope a suitable lady will inspect sooner or later wink.png - but maybe you should find time looking for that 'prospective' ????? someone? - get out there and go dancing - most dance schools have a need for male dancers - you never know who you might meet there? or join a club?
I did go to dance classes after my husband passed away - but there was a surplus of women and mostly I was dancing on my own; gave up on that! Youngest daughter found her partner via an internet dating agency - and they are still going strong after 13 years.

I, eventually, answered a few ads - with the result that I did have a partner for about 3 years - very unsuitable and I should have said 'no' straight away - but it was a distraction from my pain and also a learning experience. You learn from everyone you share some time with, if you have an open mind.

Right now: I am cleaning up, tidying up bits of my large 'garden' - because I have neglected it last year - and making a bit of a menu plan for NBD, who has very simple tastes - need to find a place where I can regularly get fresh lemons as he seems to eat them by the dozen . . .
and really enjoying getting the place back into a good state, so I understand your pride in your achievement!
    go well
