It would appear that you are a tad ( or more ) uninformed as the size of an economy is irrelevant because the relevant structure is political and when the political class become so authoritarian as to restrict growth through retarded laws and regulations coupled with excessive taxes then it ain't rocket science that California is not business friendly and will suffer depopulation coupled with slower growth and probably more dumb ass laws.
