    winners2 never mind an apology

this is a fist fight. i want teeth on a plate and their first born. I LOST MONEY.

I feel like i and Linc have been hijacked. FWIW I was in a room yesterday at 8am with fund managers invested in this stock and they said things which confirm the significant impact this article made. it casts doubt on the credibility of personnel at Linc. that they have gone this far only to NOT know they won't get the paperwork? AND that they are a "significant project" and a newspaper knew before they did.

My guess is that at best some people will be shown the door and at worst big lawsuits. I know what I want.

Lets just consider a hypothetical example.

imagine a bio-tech was at stage 4, just 2 weeks away. after 9 years of trials the MD says we're so close its almost there....2-3 weeks

then a journo- who has been commented on- runs a story quoting an unnamed source in the dept of health (or whichever department covers it) saying "no, we won't issue a clearance/ license/ patent on that for at least 3 years", doesnt check it with the company itself or for comment runs the story and of course the SP on all 3 companies also relying on it gets hammered.

    you don't think thats materiality?
    A breach of_something_?

then the minister comes out and says "oh no we havent made any decision"

    huh?

seriously, all i want to know is how rabid is the dog and how sharp are his teeth.

its a shame laurie lawrence is up in china cos he'd be the one you want in the office to gee them up- if they need it.

i also refer to these 2 paragraphs taken from above which appear inconsistent.

....THE Queensland Government last night backed away from a statement claiming that it would not issue any new licences for underground coal gasification technology for three years -- but not before the share prices of the two main companies operating in the area dropped dramatically.

A statement to The Australian on Wednesday from Queensland Mines and Energy Minister Geoff Wilson said the department "has no intention of granting production tenures for underground coal gasification for at least three years".

    --------------------------------------

Okayyy. "backed away from a statement claiming that it would not issue any new licences for underground coal gasification technology for three years......."

but next paragraph"......"has no intention of granting production tenures for underground coal gasification for at least three years...."......

call me dumb but sounds the same to me.

saying "we have no intention to" is pretty significant indication of intent. Are they telling Linc- ahem- are they telling the Australian exclusively- that Linc might as well not apply for tenures because they won't get one?

a few questions I'd like to know are:

who was the "unnamed source" from yesterdays story?
Who authorised them/ the media person to say this?
Who contacted who to write the story?
how did the Australian come to obtain the Word document?
    what does "advice" mean?
    how the timing?
did the australian not cover other stories of equal significance / materiality in regards to linc and issues discussed in the story?
Is this the official govt decision/ policy?
Why did the minister flag an intent to not grant a tenure for at least 3 years?
Was_any_of this information or decision made known to competing players in the industry?
What if anything was edited out of the story? Why was it edited out of the story?
How did the Australian Obtain the information?
Do Linc get to see the entire Microsoft Word document provided to the Oz journalist by a media spokesperson in the Department of Mines and Energy compiling the various positions from the multiple government parties involved in the whole process?

just thinking outside of the box, Can anyone imagine the significance here if any person in this chain is found to have an interest in ANY energy, gas or competing company to the CTL CTG GTL players? Or, is in a relationship with anyone who does (hypothetical- not saying anyone is).

Only takes one FOI application no?

As I understand it, qld residents are all entitled to apply for records?

Comment- I am not accusing anyone of anything, I am just trying to follow how something this significant and material goes to a newspaper via an unnamed source and not to the company(ies) and the ASX and/ or ASIC?
