You guys are a bunch of pessimistic doomsdayers to deduce from a chart that the DOW will hit 7200 again. lol. Sub-prime is a big stuff-up alright but its certainly not the never ending story - almost over now I reckon. The average PE ratio would need to be a lot higher to support a fall like that. The world is in growth mode and will be for another 25-50 years - driven by China, India, etc. If a company cant make a dollar in a world like this then it should pick something else to do with itself. You don't hear about the 95% of companies that continue to grow at 10-15%pa. Things are not as bad as they may seem.
